We moved onto a new bed altogether - a loftbed perhaps?
Scratch that idea. Though incredibly cute, these beds don't really fit with our style. We wanted something a little more hippy-chic. And while she liked the idea of a 'bed in the sky,' we kept coming back to the fact that she loves the floor. So a few weeks ago, my darling friend, Tori, found THIS:
OMGosh -- are you kidding me?
Could this be more perfect?
Finally, something that makes sense. A fantastic compromise.
Puts our daughter back in her bed - and current bed at that. Allows her to sleep in the floor every night. Gets the dining room chairs back in the dining room. Woo to the Hoo!
So we have decided that since her big girl bed is in fact an almost exact replica of the wooden frame displayed above, we can just chop the legs off. Brilliant! Now we can use the $$$ saved for other new fun items in her room.
That being said, we just so happened to pop into IKEA on our way back from a last minute trip to Columbus last week and these are some of the goods we stumbled upon (plus a few existing pieces and other new items):

We're making great progress: bed legs cut, canopy hung, rug in room - thus far. Ains actually returned last night (from her two week stay in WV with 3 sets of g'parents) and was so stoked to see her new 'floor bed' and the most important part :: SLEPT IN HER BED! We still have to hang new shelves, get the table in the there and complete her "Art by Ains" wall, so stay tuned for the completion of the room with plenty of pictures!

Can't wait to see the new room!! I love it :)
